The title of this series comes from the above picture. It is meant to illustrate that a specific object is always just one of many. Thus, numerous photographic forays through Basel (Switzerland) and its surroundings and collecting, i.e. photographing impressions, observations, etc., form the basis of this work.
Individually, many of the photographs already show views that stimulate thought. However, by laying out the collected pictures and letting them "speak" to each other, I create combinations with new statements. A witty exchange takes place, stories are told, some amusing, some memorable or even bizarre.
What stories they might tell, however, I leave to the imagination of the viewer. Intentionally, I do not give the photographs titles, as these already give a direction and thus limit the creativity of thought.
At the same time, I want my pictures to encourage the viewers to perceive their environment, even the small things, with interest and in more detail. There is so much to see if we take the time.
